Having started her legal career as a corporate and commercial attorney in prestigious international law firms in Australia and the United Kingdom, Jennifer made the move to the Cayman Islands in 2007. In her new chapter, she gained further expertise in regulatory and compliance, intellectual property, corporate governance and legal knowledge management. Jennifer Marshall is a member of the Cayman Islands Legal Practitioners Association, CARA, the Cayman Islands Compliance Association and the International Bar Association and is a knowledgeable advisor to local businesses, organisations and NPOs. 

Passionate about finding innovative solutions, championing social and environmental responsibility, and promoting ethical leadership, Jennifer certified as an ESG Analyst with the European Federation of Financial Analyst Societies and pursued executive studies in Sustainability and Circular Economies with the University of Cambridge Judge Business School and Culture-Driven Project Management and Leadership through the University of Pennsylvania.  She later received the CEC Business Design Competition Community Award as project lead of ConnectKind, a corporate social responsibility technology platform and founded Alter Eco Ltd, an ESG advisory, in 2022.


Jennifer is dedicated to creating positive community impact through her work with Inclusion Cayman, her longstanding association with the Children’s Tumor Foundation Endurance Team and Volunteer Board in New York and Alter Eco’s working partnership with the Cayman Islands National Trust. As a Cayman Islands Honorary Ambassador for Island Innovation, Jennifer collaborates with global island territories to advance ESG and sustainability solutions. Startups & Funds Global acknowledged Jennifer as a Global Change Maker in 2023 in recognition of her sustainable development work in the Cayman Islands community. Jennifer continues to collaborate with local businesses and organisations in all sectors of the community through her participation in the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce Leadership Cayman program.
